New or downloaded presets (e.g. free or commercial third-party soundsets) should be added to the User preset location. You can either drag & drop them into the plugin’s preset browser, or copy them to the user presets folder on your drive.
How to drag & drop single (or groups of) presets into the plug-in’s preset browser:
- Open the correct u-he plug-in
- Switch to the Preset Browser
- Select the folder you want to move the presets into
- Drag & drop the preset files from your file browser into the preset list section of the GUI
How to drag & drop entire folders with presets into the plug-in’s preset browser:
- Make sure the preset folder only contains preset files and no other file types
- Drag the preset folder from your file browser to the directory tree section of the GUI, drop it onto the desired location

How to copy them to the correct folder on your drive:
- Open the correct u-he plug-in
- Switch to the Preset Browser
- Right-click on the User folder to show a popup menu
- Select the Open in Explorer (Windows) / Open in Finder (macOS) option.
Your OS will show you the folder containing the user presets for that plug-in. You can put your new presets into this folder, or create a new sub-folder for them.
When you’re done, go back to the plug-in, right-click on the Preset Browser folder list again and select refresh from the popup menu. Wait until the scanning has finished. You should now see your new presets in the list.
